Previously, we announced that Michael Stipe of R.E.M. signed on as Executive Producer on the Vic Chesnutt documentary being produced by plan9films tentatively titled "Vic Chesnutt - It is What it is". "....Stipe said the artist 'was one of our greatest songwriters, and one of our greatest voices.[Chesnutt] was able to bring levity to very dark emotions and feelings, and he had a humor that was really quite unusual."
